Privacy Policy

recipe-pdf ("the service") converts a link you provide into a formatted recipe PDF. This page explains what data the service handles along the way.

What we collect

• The link you submit. This is sent to our server to fetch and process the recipe content. It's not stored beyond the lifetime of your request (see "How long we keep things," below).
• Your IP address. Used only to enforce rate limits (preventing abuse of the service) and passed to Cloudflare Turnstile as part of its bot-detection check (see "Third-party services," below). We don't log IP addresses for tracking or analytics purposes.
• Nothing else. There's no account creation, no email collection, no payment processing, and no analytics or tracking scripts on this site.

How long we keep things

Each submitted link creates a temporary job: the fetched recipe data and the generated PDF are kept only long enough for you to download it — successful jobs expire automatically after 1 hour, failed jobs after 15 minutes. After that, both the file and its record are deleted from our server. We don't keep an ongoing history of what links have been submitted.

Third-party services

This site uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish real visitors from automated abuse. Turnstile may process your IP address and certain browser characteristics as part of that check, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. This site is also hosted on Netlify, which may log basic request data (like IP addresses) as part of standard web hosting, under Netlify's privacy policy.

Content you submit

The links you submit point to content on other platforms (social media posts, recipe blogs, etc.) that we don't control or own. The service extracts recipe information from that content to build your PDF; we're not responsible for the accuracy or rights status of content on third-party sites.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will reflect it. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
